This was never intended to be a painting of flowers. I rarely have an intention in mind when I begin a piece. With this piece I wanted to use a palette I don’t typically use and began playing with laying down the more muted colors and playing with movement. Circles started to develop and as I added dimension to them I realized they looked like flowers - so I started adding layers of green around them and their free-spirited selves came to life.
